Frances's Story
Following High School I moved to California. Attended College and continue to attend as I am a firm believer in lifetime learning. At 21 I got married and had three children. Was married for 21 years and am now divorced. My eldest,Jennifer, is an archeologist in New Mexico she completed her Masters and is going for her PHD. My middle son Daniel died the summer of his Junior year of High School. My youngest Eddie, attends College and works as a Game Master. My children are my greatest accomplishment.
I work as a clinician on a Psychiatric Evaluation Team, going to different emergency rooms to evaluate people to detain and treat. It is interesting work, different every day. (yes, it's me, that's coming to take you away)
Since divorcing, I have moved to the beach. I have a condo on the water, (literally in the water as we are built on pilings) a small Boston Whaler, which conveniently is right outside my building as we are surrounded by boat slips. And, I got a little dog, a Min Pin she is adorable!
I'm an avid sailor and sail every chance I get. I'm obtaining my skipper's license and plan to circumnavigate the world for my retirement. Looking for a guy sailor to come with. Preferably handsome and virile. (If that's you, feel free to contact me ASAP)
I am also a member of a flying club and we fly small airc...Expand for more
raft to different destinations. ( I guess you could say I'm not a "land" person. )
Update: March 2011 The pirates at sea are interferring with my plan to circumnavigate the world. (as well as the stud to come with) My daughter Jen got married on Feb 14th this year. (I hope she makes me a Grandma) Funny how once you become the age to be a grandparent you have better clarity in regards to the child rearing. I do think my generation of woman had a lot of pressure to "do it all" career, motherhood, blah, blah...blah.
I don't sail as much as I'd like to and work too much. Bittersweet business I'm in, very busy these days. Wicked stressful but fullfilling. Several times people have come up to me and said, "you saved my life". What better reward is there? Thinking of getting my psy.d (so I can be a bonfide "sage" in my old age)
Closing tomorrow on another waterfront property. The plan is for my son to take over the condo I have now and I will be a small boat trip across the water in an area of Belmont Shores called Naples. The place is a wreck (so I will have plenty to do on my days off) but, an unobstucted water view from the living room. If a Tsunami (pray for Japan) doesn't end it all, my plan is aquire one additional property and have both my children close.
I hope all is well in the city of champions.
